5 Star Cleaning

The cleanliness of our facilities is paramount. We aim to clean our toilets and showers every hour throughout the day.

Toilets

We have a separate Ladies and Men's toilet block, each with 3 toilets in each. Cleaned thoroughly with premium eco-friendly products.

Hot Showers

We have a separate Ladies and Men's shower block that comprises 3 hot showers in each, two of which include a small private changing area. We also have X2 outdoor showers (1 cold, 1 Hot). 

Campers Fridge & Freezer

There is an outdoor shack called the "Cool Hut", which comprises of a fridge and freezer for our campers to use for free. Open 24hrs. 

Free On Site Wi-Fi

The campsite is a field next to the beach, but we do have free on site WiFi with speeds up to 30mbs that works from your pitch. 

Free Freezer Blocks Loan

In the "Cool Hut" you'll find a freezer full of Ocean Pitch Freezer blocks that are free for you to borrow throughout your stay.

Electric Hook Up

15 of our 34 pitches offer 16amp electric hook up. (Charged at £4.00 off peak and £5.00 per night peak season).

Onsite Staff 24hrs

Our experienced team are ready to help daily with reception open during off-peak 8am-8pm and 8pm-10pm during peak times. Outside of these times, the team can be reached via phone on 07581024348

Washing up Sinks

There are X2 washing up sinks on site providing both Hot and Cold water as well as eco-friendly fairy liquid.

BBQ Bricks

A pile of bricks are provided on site for our campers to borrow, so you can make a base for your BBQ's / contained fire pits.

Shop

Our reception features a small shop offering cold drinks, ice creams, chocolates, crisps, camping essentials/accessories & merchandise.

Campervan Chocks Hire

The front of the campsite nearer the beach is flat, but as you go up the campsite past the facilities, the field is on a slight gradient. Therefore, chocks can be very handy to level your campervan and we hire these out for £2 per night. Can be reserved at time of booking or upon arrival.

Electric Hook up Cable Hire

For £2 per night, we hire 16amp electrical hook up cables for campervans & we also hire cables for tents with x4 240v sockets on them. All available to reserve at time of booking or upon arrival.

Wetsuit Washing

We have X2 outdoor showers (1 cold, 1 Hot), as well as a wetsuit washing bucket (cleaned out daily).

Charging Services

In reception, we offer mobile phone/ tablet charging services. Or anything you'd like to charge like power banks/ laptops etc. £1 per charge.

Drinking Water / Outside Tap

We have an outside tap for drinking water, which also has a hose connection for connecting campervan owners' hoses for filling the water tanks.

Recycling

Our refuse area offers bins for general waste and recycling for plastics, cardboard, glass and tin cans.

Key Storage

We offer a key store service in our reception - 34 pitches with 34 special key stores, so you can leave the keys to your vehicle in reception while you chill on the beach or hit the surf.

Chemical Waste Disposal Point

Accessible both from the Ladies and Men's toilet block, we have a chemical waste disposal point for the campervan owners. No grey waste disposal area - sorry.

External Noise

Although we do our utmost to run a chilled and peaceful campsite, Croyde Bay can be a thriving area, especially during peak times. And therefore, other areas outside of Ocean Pitch can occasionally be noisy, i.e. the campsite next door or if the National Trust sometimes host a wedding nearby or even local building work with lorries driving past etc.

No Dogs

Dogs are welcome to visit the site when getting takeaway food with their owners from the street food van, but no dogs for campers staying over - sorry!

5mph Speed Limit

We kindly ask that all vehicles stick to the 5mph speed, ensuring the safety for campers onsite.

No Large Group Bookings

Due to the small nature of the campsite, we do not allow large group bookings, including hen or stags. Please call us if you have any questions.

Under 18's

We kindly require all bookings to have at least 1 Adult (over 18 years) stay onsite.

Fires

Open fires are not permitted, but small fires in designated small fire pits or buckets raised up off the ground are acceptable. These need to be put out with a bucket of water when you hit the hay.

No Caravans

Sorry, but we do not have the correct licence to accept caravans and the site is too small. Tents, campervans, small motorhomes (under 6.5m in length), trailer tents and Roof tents are great.

Audible Music

We prefer to say no audible music onsite, but if you would like to play chilled music on your pitch, please keep the volume down and turn it off by 9pm please.

Check In / Check Out

We kindly ask all new arrivals to check in with a friendly member of our team in reception. You will be given a brief tour of facilities and shown to your pitch. Check in is anytime after midday and check out on day of departure is 10:30am.

Choosing the Right Pitch

We are a small campsite with all of the pitches next to one another & so choosing the right pitch for your setup is crucial. Exact pitch sizes are shown during the booking process, but we kindly ask you to make sure your tent/campervan fits comfortably in the pitch. I.e a small pitch is suitable for up to a 4 person tent or a small campervan (like a VW T6 or equivalent) and a Medium pitch is suitable for up to a 6 person tent or a 6 metre campervan (like a Mercedes Sprinter).
